What you agree to when you book a session with Victoria Beach Tennis.

Who we are
Victoria Beach Tennis runs beach tennis sessions on the courts at West Beach, St Kilda, Victoria.
You can reach us at vic.beachtennis@gmail.com, or on WhatsApp at 0479 049 462.
Booking a session
Every session has to be booked before you come. Sessions have a limited number of spots, and a session that looks empty on the beach may already be full.
You'll need an account to purchase passes and hold any credit on your account. You do not need an account to attend a session.
When you start a booking, your spot is held for a short time while you pay. If you don't finish paying, the spot goes back to whoever wants it next.
Booking a session doesn't guarantee a particular coach, court or group.
Paying
You can pay for a single session, or buy a pass up front and use it across several sessions.
Prices are shown before you pay, and are listed in full on the prices page.
Card payments are handled by our payment provider. We never see or store your card details.
A pass is used one session at a time. Credit on your account is spent the same way.
Changing or cancelling a booking
Each session has its own cut-off for signing up and for cancelling, and it's shown on the session itself. It isn't the same for every session, so check the one you've booked.
To cancel, message us before that cut-off and we'll return the session to your pass or your account credit.
After the cut-off we can't return the spot: the session is planned around the numbers, and coaches are already booked for it.
If you can't make a session, telling us anyway helps — it lets somebody on the waitlist play.
If we call a session off
If a session is called off, it goes back on your pass.
That applies however the session is called off, and whether you paid casually or with a pass.
We'll let you know as early as we can.
The waiver
Everyone who plays with us signs a waiver once. It covers the ordinary risks of playing a sport on a beach.
By signing up you agree to the waiver. If you haven't signed it yet, sign it before your first session — there is a link on this page and on the booking form.
If anything about your health changes after you sign it, tell a coach before you play rather than relying on the form.
On the sand
Sessions run outdoors on sand, and beach tennis involves running, jumping and hitting a ball. Come dressed for that, and tell a coach before the session if there's an injury or condition we should know about.
Please follow what coaches ask on the day. We can ask someone to leave a session if their behaviour puts other players off or at risk, and the club is open to everybody regardless of who they are.
Look after your own things — the courts are on a public beach.
Your information
We keep your name, email address and the sessions you've booked, so we can run the bookings and get in touch about a session.
If you send an enquiry through the site, we keep what you wrote so we can reply to it.
We don't sell your details or pass them to anyone who isn't part of running the club.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed, and the terms that apply to a booking are the ones on this page when you made it.
These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia.
Anything unclear
If something here doesn't match what you were told at a session, ask us.
